The Corona virus epidemic has started spreading rapidly across the country after easing the lockdown, for which the Commissioner Karachi has announced another lockdown in Karachi from today.
Sources said that Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalawani has said that the decision will be implemented from 7 pm today and the hotspots have been identified in the light of the report of the Deputy Commissioners.
The statement said that the commissioner Karachi would soon issue a notification with details of the areas. The commissioner Karachi clarified that movement in the restricted areas would be restricted during the lockdown.
Iftikhar Shalawani said that the lockdown has been decided in the light of the suggestions of the Deputy Commissioner. Lockdown will be done in 6 to 7 USCs in each district.
It may be recalled that due to the increase in the number of corona cases in the western district, the deputy commissioner had recommended selective lockdown at 10 places.

The DC said that selective lockdown should also be carried out in Christian Colony of Mominabad sub-division.
Deputy Commissioner Gharbi District also declared 15 other places as hotspots but suggested that the proposed hotspots should not be included in the selective lockdown for the time being.
